The 19th College Sport Festival “Udogsh” organized by the India’s Prestigious College “Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur”. This event was intended to be a celebration of sportsmanship, competition, and unity among college students from across the Different states of India and Countries. During a Kabaddi match, something unexpected and shocking happened that surprised everyone and caused a big reaction on social media.
On the Indian Air Force Day IIT Kanpur arrange sport competition as part of the Udgosh festival, a Kabaddi match was scheduled to take place at IIT Kanpur’s sports grounds. No body have any idea that this event will be ended like this,

Within one hour all videos of IIT Kanpur fights went viral on social media, as we can see in video that two rival teams one is Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) from New Delhi and Second one is YCMA from Faridabad fighting with each other using college chairs.

The Udgosh Festival
Udgosh, which is from October 6th to 8th, has initially promised to be grand celebration of sports, in this festive over 2500 students from 450 colleges participating in approximately for 75 events. At the End of the Festival a professional Kabaddi player named Rahul Chaudhari was supposed to come and be part of the event on the last day.
This made people even more excited about the festival, but now after this issue there may be fewer chances of such high-profile appearances in the future.
The Cause of the Clash:
According to a tweet by a user who shared the NSUT WhatsApp group chat, the cause of the fight was that the YCMA team was cheering and abusing the NSUT team. The NSUT team took the lead by 4 points in the Kabaddi match, but then the NSUT raider hit the face of the YCMA defender, which sparked the fight.
Lack of Security
Observing the video, one glaring issue will be noticed that there was the absence of security. Nobody stepped into the fight to stop the fight, so things got out of hand. The girls were running from the fighting scene as we scene in the IIT Kanpur viral video fight to stay safe.
Disqualification of Teams
After this violent crash, both NSUT New Delhi and YMCA Faridabad were disqualified from the Kabaddi competition, ending their participation in Udgosh 2023.
IIT Kanpur, the reputed institute has not released an official statement addressing the incident and its implications.
